Developmental Editing
Our specialty is memoir and poetry. We take a trauma-informed and decolonized approach to editing and the creative process.
Developmental editing focuses on structure and creative feedback. We look at aspects of storytelling such as audience, premise, point of view, voice, plot, narrative pacing, characterization, and scenes.
Our rates are between $3.30 to $2.81 per 100 words; example: 60,000 words/100 = 600 x $2.81 = $1,686

Copy Editing
Once developmental editing is complete, it's time for copy editing. We'll take care of spelling, grammer, punctuation, and usage.
Our rates are between $2.25 to $1.91 per 100 words; example: 60,000 words/100 = 600 x $1.91 = $1,146.

Our Approach
As a certified Cultivating Safe Spaces facilitator, I practice decolonization.
Before we begin our work together, it's important to turn our minds to decolonization and recognize the land we are on. If you have attend one of my public CSS offerings, Elaine Alec's, or any other CSS facilitator's training, I will recognize the third step as fulfilled.
Attending live events isn't always possible. We require clients to complete the online Introduction to Cultivating Safe Spaces mini-course before we begin collaborating.
We are evolving with the times to offer communication options like Loom video, which offer translated transcripts in up to 40+ laungages. Once a deposit is paid, you will be invited to your customized Notion client protal to keep you up-to-date and engaged throughout our time together.
